Please be careful about reporting STCU as junk or spam

Readers subscribe or unsubscribe to STCU Member News every day. Some enjoy receiving the free monthly newsletter, with the latest news headlines, financial deals, rates, and community events. Others like to read it for a few months, then unsubscribe.

We understand! STCU believes your Inbox should be for e-mail you want to receive from friends, family, and organizations that you follow. The last thing you need is more mail that you don't need or have time to read.

Can we ask a favor?

If you plan to unsubscribe to STCU Member News, please take an extra moment to do it the right way.

Please do not click on your e-mail service's "Report as Junk" or "Delete spam" buttons when removing the STCU newsletter from your Inbox. When you do this, you are also sending an electronic complaint to anti-spam companies. These companies help major Internet mail servers keep their bandwidth free of unwanted traffic by isolating firms that saturate the Internet with spam.

If too many readers click "junk" or "spam" when deleting STCU Member News, these "complaints" could blacklist us for future mail services. If you want to remove STCU Member News from your Inbox, simply delete it. If you want to unsubscribe to STCU Member News, please use the easy STCU form as described here:

How to properly unsubscribe

  • Open your most recent issue of STCU Member News.
  • At the bottom of the page, click on the link to "Unsubscribe."
  • In some cases, the unsubscribe form will automatically prefill your e-mail address. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to you.
  • For others, you'll need to type your e-mail address into the form and click on "Unsubscribe."
  • That's it! Follow those steps and you'll be taken off our subscription list -- without making a spam complaint.

At STCU, we remove your name from our subscribers list the first time you request it. And we never sell or share our subscribers list with others.
